Jetsetter - Travel App Reviews

This use to be one of my go to apps for travel. Since the latest update it is unbearable to use. Crashes all the time. When it does work the navigation is horrendous and the look of it makes it look like it hasnt been updated in 10 years. Thankfully they havent screwed with the iPad app yet.

This update is atrocious! What happened to the simple app that made booking and viewing beautiful hotels and resorts across the world easy?!? Now, we are stuck with a hard to navigate app with a bunch of boxes/pictures. I really have NO clue what to do/what to click on and I just spend the majority of my time clicking on things hoping it takes me to where I want to go. Also, what happened to your Favs/Heart list?!? Every place I had saved is now gone. Now, you have to create a Wanderlust/Wanderlist and tap on pictures to add them to you list. No thanks Jetsetter.

The newest update turned a beautiful and easy-to-use app into a useless waste of space on my device.

When I first took a look at this app after the new update, I thought for sure that my connection was bad because no text appears after searching for hotels. Only pretty photos. Im a visual person but this takes it too far. Is it a joke? In order to find a hotel, apparently you have to click on each individual photo and then click "book" to see the hotel name, location, and price. Who has time for this? Please change this app back to a useful, time-efficient format like before. I will be booking elsewhere until you do.

They are really making it hard to look up info...super confusing and not user friendly.

This is a joke, right? I refuse to believe that this new app design / UX actually went through testing and exec approval to go to production. I used to go to Jetsetter to make hotel reservations (i.e. spend money) and now all I can do is look at pictures. If it was your aim, youve definitely succeeded in reducing your revenue potential with this release. Doesnt seem like a sound business move, does it? Ill chalk this up to an early April Fools joke and await the real app update.

Please bring back my favorites!! Everything about the new version doesnt work. Used to be my go to app to find unique vacation destinations.

I really liked the app before the update, but the new update has made it very difficult to use.

I never write app reviews but I felt compelled to state just how completely awful this app now is. Theyve actually increased the number of taps required to get to the booking screen! Not to mention that the interface is completely unintuitive. Like the picture of the hotel you see? Tap it and all it does is show you a larger version of the picture! How about showing me details about the property I just clicked??? This app is now extremely frustrating to use. Dont bother downloading it.

Ok I used to love jetsetter and booked several vacations through them. I really enjoy their selection of properties, their write ups and insights. Its why I gave this app 2 stars and not 1. That being said the new app is a hot mess. Works ok if youre trying to book specific dates at exact location (although you cant filter the results which is ridiculous). But lets say youre vacation shopping, with a wider timeframe and general location, youre screwed. The only way I could figure out how to do it is via "discover" tab which will show you like six random pictures. Oftentimes of the same property. Only once you click on the picture it tells you where it is. If you click on location, eg Mexico, it will show you pictures of other properties in that geographical area without and info...sometimes itll be 6 pics of the same property sometimes 6 different ones, who knows, their algorithm just wants to add excitement to your life. Then you still have to click "book" to see dates and prices BUT 99% of the times I did it,it said property is unavailable!! Like not even for specific dates, just not at all. Why show it to me?!? If I want to click through never ending pictures Ill go to Instagram, Im here to purchase something!!! Sell it to me!!! Can you tell Im frustrated? Maybe the site is better but honestly, most people do mobile and theres literally hundreds of other travel apps that will not give me an aneurism. So to sum up, vacation shopping is exhausting as it is, go with Expedia or tripadvisor or any other app that makes it straight forward. Do not use this one! Unless you dont really want to go on vacation but maybe your family does, then use jetsetter app to stall and frustrate them until they give up. Jetsetter please fix your self, you guys are better than this.
