Jetsetter - Travel App Reviews

Miss the old version

It was so nice to have the option to add favorites in the older versions. Its much harder to get certain details (like fees, parking) now. There are errors in the text display for the hotel descriptions too.

Poor Update

Removing the ability to add favorites was a poor decision. In addition, images no longer zoom/rotate properly in full screen mode, making it difficult to get an accurate impression of the property.

Fraudulent fees dont book Jetsetter

I booked a two week hotel in New York City and got charged almost $100 in foreign transaction fees because Jetsetter used a partner to process the payment that is located in Great Britain.

Not a user friendly update.

I love the idea of being able to have folders for different trips, but being unable to save the actual hotels Im searching for future travel plans makes it nonsensical- why would I use this site to book hotels if theres no way to access the hotel I wanted in the first place?

Bring back the old Jetsetter!

...Or at the very least, bring back the option to save/bookmark properties

One of the best apps ever

Easy to use. Keeps me updated with all the new deals effortlessly. I love it

Good app but problems

Id like to be able to use the app to secure hotel deals. However Im not able to because no pictures load!

Great, easy, app

Fast and easy

JetSetter

Good app. Nice pics with detail. Dont like when select dates, does not show lowest room rate till you open.

Unexpected, convenient, awesome

Awesome hotels that wouldnt be obvious choices on other travel sites. Honest reviews. My only wish is that they would show the dates that have the lowest rate they promote.

Great service

Due to the winter storms in New York, my flight was canceled and the airline rebooked me to fly following day. Even though it was a non-changeable, nonrefundable hotel reservation, jetsetter and the hotel allowed me to change my reservation. Great service!

HORRIBLE As A $-Saving App

listen, I get it - its a beautiful app, the descriptions are solid, the flow of the interface is nice, etc - but I stay at many of the nicer hotels (NYC, PHX, CHCGO +) and many other apps offer Far better prices for same - perhaps THE MOST frustrating: they show a good price for a property then you must enter dates to find out how high the price actually is for that time AND to find any other pricing for other dates, you have to go back, re-enter new arrival & departure dates, then go thru the process over & over - its an Easy Fix: all the airlines & many hotel sites (including this apps competitors) offer a "low-fare calendar" showing, at a glance, month-by-month, which dates have which pricing, so the process is as simple as it can be - this is a CRUCIAL, simple offering if you are a busy person and dont want to do the equivalent of picking thru the bin at a discount shop for an hour or two, in hopes of getting a deal the store advertised, but with all that time spent, what, really, is the cost to you - One simple fix and its a 5-star app - but if you dislike tedious, laborious search for values at high-end hotels, there are LOTS of other options - IM DELETING and using all the others out there

Meh

Maybe this company has yet to figure out a good portion of the people using the app. I would think its pretty obvious that Im using it looking for great deals, but the app frustrates the entire purpose by forcing you to blindly figure out which days are actually at the lowest rates instead of just painting the picture for you (as seen on the wonderfully done low-fare flight finder app Hopper). Almost every time Ive tried to book a room, the dates I choose are usually normal prices or maybe have a slight discount, but theyre often nowhere near the low "starting at" price advertised on the front page. In that respect its pretty much pointless over apps like Hotel Tonight, but I will keep it maybe to book an all-inclusive trip, though Im worried I may have the same experience with that end of the app as well, since I havent tried it yet.

Needs improving

Want to check out on July 1st? Sorry. That date doesnt exist in the app after the last update. Needs optimization for iPhone 6/6+. Deals really arent better than other websites, and you get much less selection.

There is a reason this app is free

Since this company got my email I am unable to escape their many daily spam emails. Uninstall and unsubscribe didnt free me from their clutches. The spam didnt even reflect any interests I had shown. Run away from this one!

Bait and switch

Shows you a very low price for a hotel room but when you attempt to book it changes the price. Hotel advertised for $239. Price changed at booking to $850.
